Three-Star Florida Tackle Troy Ingle Commits To WKU

The Tops get their sixth commitment for the 2018 class.

On Sunday afternoon Troy Ingle of American Heritage High School in Fort Lauderdale verbally committed to Mike Sanford Jr’s Western Kentucky Hilltoppers.

Ingle just recently transferred to American Heritage after playing the first part of his high school career at Flanagan High School. He’s coming off a season in which his team went 9-3, scoring 282 points.

247 Sports ranks Ingle as the 1,387th recruit in the class of 2018, the 121st offensive tackle, and the 212th recruit in Florida. He chose WKU over offers from Air Force, Appalachian State, Army, Central Michigan, Columbia, Cornell, Illinois, Marshall, Navy, Princeton, Tulane, and UCF.

The 6’5” 280 pounder is the second offensive line commit of WKU’s 2018 class and the sixth commitment overall. The Tops also received a verbal commitment from Tennessee in three-star tackle recruit Sam Stovall earlier in the summer. Takeaways from his film are that he plays with high energy, he’s got decent footwork, and that he gets downfield to block the next level.

It will definitely be interesting to see where his game is after another year of developing in high school before Sanford and Geoff Dart begin to develop him further.
