Prince Charles Iworah of Western Kentucky Is Selected By The 49ers With The #249 Pick Of The 2016 NFL Draft

One of three Hilltoppers drafted, Prince Charles Iworah will head out west to play for the San Francisco 49ers.

A lightning fast cornerback, Prince Charles Iworah of Western Kentucky is heading out west to play for the San Francisco 49ers. He is the third Hilltopper drafted after Tyler Higbee and Brandon Doughty.

Iworah has the lightning quickness and speed needed out of an NFL cornerback. He was tested at the college level by many pass happy offenses. He specializes in using his speed to recover from mistakes to get between the ball and the receiver.

The Nashville native has a great feel for the game and understands how to cover vertical routes effectively. He has some explosion in his jump and can fight bigger receivers at the high point of a pass.

He still has to work on several aspects of playing cornerback at a high level with some technique issues. Iworah is still very raw in his development and the 49ers may be hoping to slip him on the practice squad. He could be a future starter with development.

Congratulations to Prince Charles Iworah and Western Kentucky on sending another Conference USA player to the NFL.
