Commit #17 is heading to Beautiful Eagle Creek.

Ballers continue to let it be known they plan to become Eagles as Mike Smith Jr., of the appropriately named town of Frostproof Florida did this afternoon:

Smith, a two-star offensive guard, is 6'3", 290 pounds and had a million offers from places like Iowa State, Memphis, Marshall, Louisiana Tech, Middle Tennessee, FIU and Western Kentucky.

There's a good Scout story you can read on Smith here.

You might think watching highlights of an O-lineman wouldn't be fun until you check out Smith flattening people left and right and slinging QBs to the ground (he played on both sides of the ball):

Needless to say, the coaching staff is pretty excited too:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">This is how we celebrate a commitment from the 863. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/HailSouthern?src=hash">#HailSouthern</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Swoop16?src=hash">#Swoop16</a> <a href="http://t.co/ydfSd3hNdV">pic.twitter.com/ydfSd3hNdV</a></p>&mdash; Coach Mike Mutz (@CoachMutz) <a href="https://twitter.com/CoachMutz/status/627549197949120512">August 1, 2015</a></blockquote>

Smith's commitment brings the class total to 17 (just slightly ahead of Georgia State), with a national ranking of 68 and number one in the Sun Belt. Also, we're now in the month of August and can say THERE IS COLLEGE FOOTBALL NEXT MONTH!
