Louisiana Tech has long held the arguable distinction of having the best athletic facilities in Conference USA West. The Bulldogs are showing no signs of complacency after announcing a privately-funded $11.5 million investment into Joe Aillet Stadium that will keep the Bulldogs' facility up to par.
While the expansion has not yet been officially announced, LA Tech Report was able to secure an early construction diagram provided in the agenda of last week's University of Louisiana System Facilities Planning Committee meeting.

Without viewing renderings, it does seem like Louisiana Tech is getting great value for their money. The existing press box was woefully inadequete and needed to be completely gutted. A top-notch press box may help attract national media coverage and improve television broadcasts as well as Jumobtron production.
Bulldog fans also receive benefit from the expansion in the form of additional restrooms in the stadium as well as improved traffic flow surrounding the facility.
The expansion to Joe Aillet Stadium follows the recent construction of a beautiful, state of the art endzone facility. Louisiana Tech's additions to Joe Aillet come at a good time as divisional rivals Rice and UTSA are working on improvements to their stadiums.
