The quarterback carousel has finally stopped spinning. Charlotte head coach Brad Lambert has announced that junior Kevin Olsen will be his starting quarterback heading into the 2016 season.

Olsen, the younger brother of Carolina Panthers tight-end Greg Olsen, transferred to Charlotte and began his schooling at the university in the spring. Olsen was originally recruited by the Miami (FL) Hurricanes but transferred out of after being arrested. He then attended Towson University but was dismissed from the program after violating team rules.
Olsen has had his fair share of off-field issues but Charlotte turns to him in hopes that those issues are behind him. Charlotte needs certainty at the quarterback position after playing three players (Matt Johnson, Lee McNeill and Brooks Barden) at the position last season. All three players under-performed last year as Charlotte finished 2-10 in their first season in Conference USA.
Fans will be able to get a good look at their new starting quarterback in Saturday's spring game at Jerry Richardson Stadium.
