Golden Eagles to host Mississippi State in a late night contest

Spruce Derden-USA TODAY Sports

Conference USA released its preliminary television assignments for the 2015 season today, and it includes Southern Miss in four games that will be televised nationally. The most noteworthy of these TV assignments is the Mississippi State game, which will be played on September 5 at 9 PM (central time/local time) in Hattiesburg. The game will televised by Fox Sports 1. The Southern Miss vs Mississippi State game will be the season opener for both teams, and will be the Bulldogs' first trip to Hattiesburg in over 25 years.

The conference also announced that Southern Miss would play in three televised games against fellow Conference USA schools. Southern Miss will travel to Marshall on October 9 in a game that will be shown on CBS College Sports. The Golden Eagles will also play on a FOX Network (that is yet to be determined) when they host UTEP on October 31 and when travel to Louisiana Tech on November 28.

The American Sports Network has not released their TV schedule for CUSA yet, so additional TV games could still be added for Southern Miss and other Conference USA schools. ASN broadcasted a number of CUSA games in 2014.
