Marshall 31, Southern Mississippi 10: Marshall forced five Southern Miss turnovers, broke up 15 passes and recorded 17 quarterback hurries as the Herd dominated the Golden Eagles. RECAP

Florida International 52, UTEP 12: Florida International would score touchdowns on their first five offensive possessions, and racked up 520 yards of total offense in a rout of UTEP. RECAP

Rice 27, Florida Atlantic 26: FAU hinted for three quarters that it will be a factor in C-USA. Then in the fourth, it gave a completely different idea, allowing Rice to come from behind and win. RECAP

Portland State 66, North Texas 7: Portland State embarrassed the Mean Green. The massacre sets an NCAA record for the worst loss by an FBS school to an FCS school in college football history. North Texas head coach Dan McCarney was relieved of his coaching duties following the game. RECAP
