On Wednesday, we broke down the top guys Willie Taggart and company have locked down for South Florida so far leading up to National Signing Day.
Now we're jumping right in with more 'crootin content and taking a look at the other recruits who (as of now) have committed to donning the green and gold.
Tramal Ivy DE-Butler C.C. (Juco)/Muskogee (Muskogee, OK)
6-4, 238 LB
Star Rating: 3 (247 and Rivals)
Committed: 1/27/2016
Committing to USF late Wednesday night, the 3-star Juco out of Oklahoma follows in a long tradition of successful defensive transfers playing for the Bulls. Having a 4.50 40 time will ensure that the speedy edge rusher/OLB hybrid will play a significant role opposite of fellow Juco transfer LaDarrius Jackson as soon as he arrives on campus.
Mi'Cario Stanley- ILB-Cape Coral (Cape Coral, FL)
6-1, 245 LB
Star Rating: 3 (247 and Rivals)
Committed: 7/21/2015
The Cape Coral ILB was recruited by new defensive coordinator Raymond Woodie and has remained committed to the green and gold since the start of junior year. Ranked the 35th best inside linebacker in the nation, Stanley recorded 110 tackles during his senior season.
Christion Gainer- OT-Bay (Panama City, FL)
6-6, 285 LB
Star Rating: 3 (247 and Rivals)
Committed: 6/27/2015
The first offensive lineman we've seen on these commit lists, OL coach/Co-OC Danny Hope adds Gainor out of Panama City who has been committed since June. Beating out Florida for his services, the Bay high school tackle joins a young core offensive line where Kofi Amichia returns as the only senior of the unit.
Craig Smith- OT-Tyler (Juco)/Royal Palm Beach (West Palm Beach, FL)
6-6, 330 LB (!!!)
Star Rating: 3 (247), 2 (Rivals)
Committed: 1/17/2016
Big is an understatement to describe the 330 pound Juco transfer out of Tyler Junior College. Being a native of West Palm Beach, Taggart and staff have kept an eye on the physical tackle for quite some time. Having only offers from USF and West Virginia, Smith could prove to be a diamond in the rough type of beast on the line, throwing around opposing AAC defensive lineman while creating running lanes on the age for Quinton Flowers and Marlon Mack.
Logan MacDonald- OT-Ridge Community (Davenport, FL)
6-4, 255 LB
Star Rating: 3 (247), 2 (Rivals)
Committed: 6/21/2015
The Danny Hope recruit out of Davenport excels at pushing defenders out of the box into the second level of the defense, allowing ball carriers to gain even more yards once past the line of scrimmage. At only 255 pounds, MacDonald's a bit undersized and will most likely have to utilize a redshirt season to grow before seeing time in the trenches.
Frank Johnson- DE-Hinds C.C. (Juco)/Wilkinson County (Woodville, MS)
6-5, 235 LB
Star Rating: 3 (247), 2 (Rivals)
Signed Letter of Intent: 12/16/2015
Alongside fellow Hinds teammate LaDarrius Jackson, Johnson is already enrolled at USF and will look to make an impact immediately as a strong-side defensive end. He will compete with the likes of Vincent Jackson Jr., Eric Mayes, and Kevin Bronson for positioning.
Michael Wiggs- OG-Lake Gibson (Lakeland, FL)
6-3, 289 LB
Star Rating: 3 (247), 2 (Rivals)
Committed: 6/29/15
From right down I-4 in Lakeland, Wiggs checks in as the only offensive guard commit so far. Not heavily recruited, he only had offers from USF, South Alabama, and Florida Atlantic.
