The Liberty Flames’ perfect season continued on Saturday with an easy win over the UMass minutemen. Jamey Chadwell and company won 49-25 in Lynchburg to bring their record to 11-0.
11 wins is the most in a single season in Liberty history.
Liberty quarterback Kaidon Salter had one of his better days of the season, rushing for over 100 yards for the third time this season while accounting for four touchdowns for the fourth straight week. Salter finished the day passing for 225 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. He also rushed for 118 yards on 13 carries with two touchdowns on the ground. Salter was pulled in the fourth quarter.

The Liberty offense totaled 549 yards on the day. It was the sixth time this season that they totaled at least 500 yards of offense.
Running back Quinton Cooley averaged 12.8 yards per carry on the way to 102 yards on the ground.
The Liberty defense also forced three turnovers in the win. Joseph Carter and Preston Hodge had an interception apiece, with Hodge returning his 62 yards for the score.

Liberty have one more regular season date on November 25 against UTEP. The Flames have already clinched home field advantage in the CUSA championship game against New Mexico State on December 2. Both games will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network.
UMass fall to 3-8 on the season with one remaining contest next week against UConn.
