National Signing Day.

It’s become a national holiday of sorts for fans of college football. The time of year where college football fans keep their eyes and ears glued to social media anxiously awaiting for a new batch of kids.

College football at the FBS level contain 130 teams all vying to be a powerhouse or the next Cinderella team. It can be a tall task keeping up with college ball so you can imagine the scramble and strategy coaches go thru to find the studs and hidden jems among the trillions of high schools across the U.S.

For Texas State and head coach Jake Spavital it’s still a rebuilding process. The fans and alumni are excited for potential new Spergon Wynns, Bryan Londons or Bronson Sanderses. Now it’s gets tougher with essentially all of the previous regimes’ recruits (22 seniors) gone but Spavtial has the experience to piece together a solid squad for year two and beyond.

“Alot of the changes that have happened from new coaches to really a new team,” Spavital said at Wednesday’s press conference, “We wanted to change the profile of our team.”
