SUMMARY

Mobile, AL- Levi Lewis had a masterful performance for Louisiana tonight, throwing for 246 yards on 19 completions with two touchdowns. He also added 62 yards on eight carries. He found senior wideout Ja’Marcus Bradley, the game’s offensive MVP, seven times for 88 yards and two scores. Elijah Mitchell had 55 yards and a score on the ground for the Cajuns in their first bowl win since 2014. Defensive leaders for Louisiana was Terik Miller with eight tackles. Eric Garror was named defensive MVP for his seven tackles, including some big pass breakups. Stevie Artigue was named the Special Teams MVP after handling kickoff duties and going 2/2 on FGs and 3 XPs. Louisiana finishes 11-3, best record in school history.

For Miami (OH), Brett Gardner, MAC Freshman of the Year, went 22/31 for 248 yards with no touchdowns. Leading rusher for the Redhawks was Jaylon Bester, running for 52 yards on 19 carries with two trips to the endzone. Jack Sorenson was the Redhawks’ leading receiver, getting 107 yards on 10 catches. Miami (OH) finished the season 8-6 after winning the MAC.
