#23 Washington State Thumps Aggies 58-7

Complete domination but there are some positives to take away

Well, that was sort of what we expected, wasn’t it?

Washington State’s offense was fast and unstoppable. Anthony Gordon had 420 yards passing and only had six incompletions the whole night. Oh yeah, he also had five touchdown passes. Do I dare say that Mike Leach has found his next QB?

The offense didn’t look bad at times. They had a chance on their first drive to take the lead but they missed a 50 yard field goal.

After giving up a quick touchdown drive, the Aggies used a nice seven play, 75 yard drive to tie the score at 7. That’s where things fell flat. Washington State scored 51 straight points and the Aggies didn’t ever really threaten.

They had a chance to score in the 4th but ended up losing a fumble near the goal line.

There weren’t many positives but Josh Adkins had a decent game, going 28-42 for 221 yards and a rushing touchdown. Jason Huntley finished with 54 yards and a nice 6.3 yard per rush average. On the receiving end, Tony Nicholson and OJ Clark both had seven receptions.

Outside of those stats, there’s really not much to talk about...it’ll be more of the same next week as NM State heads to Tuscaloosa to face Alabama....I’ll see you in two weeks.
