With Mike Aresco announcing The American has no plans of replacing UConn, and that the conference will pursue abolishing divisions and establishing a round-robin schedule with two permanent opponents for each team, I am going to try and guess who these permanent opponents will be for each team.

A few notes:
- I tried to keep teams with existing rivalries together and make sure everyone has a geographically relevant opponent. My apologies if I missed a rivalry between schools, but I think I hit the big ones
- Games I consider to be a lock: USF-UCF, Houston-Memphis, Houston-SMU, Cincinnati-Temple, Tulane-SMU
- USF and Cincinnati were put together since with UConn on the way out they will be the last remaining teams from the Big East
- UCF and Memphis were put together since their regular season matchups and conference championships have been exciting to watch and could be the roots needed for a great rivalry going forward
