The New Mexico State Football Aggies have agreed to a home and home series with the University of Alabama Birmingham.
The series will begin on September 3, 2020 at Legion Field in Alabama, and continue in 2025 when the Blazers come to Aggie Memorial Stadium.
The first meeting will mark the first time these two programs have ever played each other and is really going to be a great series.
As we all know, the UAB program was shut down in 2014 and has surged in its first two seasons back, going to and winning a bowl game this past season. NM State also saw a resurgence in 2017, going to and winning their own bowl game after a 57 year drought. Now we will get to see both squads take on each other in a really interesting matchup that will be important for both teams as they try to get back to the postseason.
New Mexico State has now completed their football schedule for 2020 with another competitive game.
