Choosing C-USA: Week 10

How are in a double digit week already?!

Last week might have been my worst of the season in terms of picking C-USA games. This week I try to bounce back. Ain’t nothing going to break my stride. Ain’t nothing going to slow me down. Oh no. I’ve got to keep on moving.

Last week: 3-3

Season total: 65-17

Saturday, November 2nd

Texas A&M Aggies vs UTSA Roadrunners - Noon ET

The Aggies aren’t a perfect team, but it’s incredibly doubtful that they’ll have any trouble with UTSA. Pick Texas A&M.

FIU Panthers vs Old Dominion Monarchs - Noon ET

FIU have been perhaps the league’s best definition of inconsistency so far. Fortunately for them, Old Dominion’s offense is perhaps the league’s best definition of comical at this point. The Panthers will get this win.

Charlotte 49ers vs Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders - 3:30 PM ET

This seems like it will be the most entertaining game of the weekend because these teams are so evenly matched. Personally, I’m betting on MTSU because of the show that their rushing offense put on in the rain last weekend. I won’t be too surprised if the 49ers find a way to get this though.

Rice Owls vs Marshall Thundering Herd - 3:30 PM ET

Marshall shouldn’t have much trouble. Rice simply haven’t been able to play a full game this year, which is why they’re 0-8.

North Texas Mean Green vs UTEP Miners - 3:30 PM ET

The Mean Green are going to outpace the Miners in a big way. Despite UNT’s issues this year, they’re still the #2 scoring offense in C-USA and they’re facing a defense that gives up 34.3point partnership.

Western Kentucky Hilltoppers vs Florida Atlantic Owls - 4 PM ET

Great defense against great offense. I’m picking WKU if they can set the right tone early by controlling the ball with Gaej Walker and some improved special teams play.

Tennessee Volunteers vs UAB Blazers - 7 PM ET

People will be understandably torn on this. Tennessee is a talented team but they’ve been the definition of underwhelming so far. They have losses to BYU and Georgia State already. Clearly lightning can strike twice, but I just have a hard time believing it will strike three times. My pick is Tennessee.
