We’re back!

After a hiatus due to the holiday season, #JoeTalk is back to recap everything that’s happened in the American Athletic Conference.

On this episode, we go through the top news for every team in the conference. Here are some of the topics we touched on:

  • UCF Knights dethroned as national champions after losing to LSU in the Fiesta Bowl (2:10)
  • AAC as a whole did not perform well during bowl season (4:20)
  • Cincinnati reaching 11 wins for only third time in school history almost led to Luke Fickell at West Virginia (9:15)
  • Make it five years in a row that the Memphis Tigers have won eight games (13:13)
  • Are we surprised Mike Norvell is still at Memphis? (14:40)
  • What a ride it has been for the Houston Cougars over the last two months (16:30)
  • The Temple Owls can say the same thing (24:40)
  • Tulane won only their fifth bowl game in their 125 year history of the program (30:55)
  • Sterlin Gilbert took the head coaching job at McNeese State so all of the USF Bulls problems are solved (33:30)
  • SMU should have known Ben Hicks would consider transferring when Sonny Dykes benched him midseason (37:50)
  • Navy lost to Army for the third consecutive year and has serious quarterback questions entering next season (40:00)
  • Tulsa has the potential to be a winning team in 2019 (43:03)
  • ECU finally got rid of Scottie Montgomery (44:30)
  • But somehow Randy Edsall still has a job after the worst defensive team in the history of college football (47:01)
