NMSU Football: Top 10 Plays of 2017; #10

With so many big moments to choose from, which plays will make the list?

Hey Aggie fans, what’s up!?

It’s been a long offseason so far, but now that we’re over halfway through I thought it would be a great time to look back on last year’s historic season and highlight some of the biggest/most important plays!

How Plays Were Chosen

To put together this list, I compiled a list of all the big plays made by the Aggies throughout the 2017 season. I then took those plays and organized them by how important they were in terms of in game importance. I then looked at how their heroics helped shape NMSU’s run to a bowl victory.

So, without further ado, here’s the Top 10 Plays of 2017, starting with number 10!

Jaleel Scott’s TD Catch in Tempe

Not only did this catch get an audible “OOOHHHHH” from a fan base who probably had no idea NMSU had a football team before the game, it put the whole nation on alert. The Aggies have a dynamic receiver who can make plays.

It also brought the Aggies within one score of Arizona State and set the tone for the rest of the team. Proving that they could play with them. Unfortunately, the Aggies lost 37-31, which brings this play down on the list. Scott’s athleticism on the play, though, makes it impossible to leave off a list of top 10 plays.
