The NFL Draft is done and gone, which usually isn’t an exciting time for Aggies fans. 2018 was different though.
This year, the Aggies saw Jaleel Scott become the first player (and 52nd Aggie overall) drafted since Jeremy Harris was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2013.
Projected as a 5th or 6th round draft choice, Scott beat expectations and was taken with the 132nd overall pick in the 4th round, becoming the highest drafted Aggie since 2011 when Davon House was taken 131st overall.
I expect Scott will make an impact immediately on special teams and will most likely be thrown in at some point during the season. We may even see him catch passes thrown by former Heisman winner Lamar Jackson!
Larry Rose III Signs Minicamp Deal
Another Aggie will be chasing his NFL dream, this time in Tennessee. On Saturday, Larry Rose III signed a undrafted free agent deal with the Titans. His road will be difficult since the Titans already have Derrick Henry on roster and also signed former Iowa RB Akrum Wadley to a undrafted free agent deal as well.
Personally, I think Rose is a better back than Wadley because he is faster and more versatile but I am obviously biased. Regardless of what happens to Rose in minicamp, I am positive he will end up with a NFL team when the season starts.
