The wait is finally over. The Sun Belt offices in New Orleans have released schedules for the 2018 season and we get to see what each team has in store this fall.
Down in Alabama, Neal Brown is back for his fourth season and once again the Troy Trojans have a schedule that presents some great opportunities. The Trojans avoid Arkansas State out of the west division and have some very attractive opponents in the non-conference.
The champs are back ⚔

Quick Thoughts
- The non-conference is loaded with great matchups as the Trojans will welcome Boise State to Veterans Memorial Stadium and go to Nebraska to take on a program breaking in a new coach. Under Brown, Troy has consistently played well against non-conference competition and we’ll see if they can pull another upset in 2018.
- The week after the Nebraska trip, Troy will find itself in a tricky spot as they’ll head to Monroe to take on a ULM squad that could have one of the best offenses in the Group of Five. Last year the Warhawks knocked off App State in Malone Stadium.
- We will be seeing the Trojans twice in mid-week football in October as the Trojans will host Georgia State on a Thursday and then the Battle for the Belt will take place on a Tuesday night in Mobile.
- It appears, for the third year in a row, Troy will be heading on the road on Thanksgiving weekend needing a win for a conference title. In 2016, the Trojans were upset by Georgia Southern and then beat Arkansas State in Jonesboro in 2017. This year the Trojans must face Appalachian State in Boone. When will the Trojans get to host a game on the final weekend?
