We’re getting down to the wire here. A race that has been tight all year only intensifies as the season winds down. We will be doing predictions for the conference championship and the bowl games, so stay tuned for one final round of predictions! Who will take home the crown? Michael has been in the lead all year, but Joe B has caught up to him. Joe S and Eric have been flipping at the bottom, but have never caved. They find themselves one game out of first place. Will a new leader emerge, or will Michael take home the top spot where he’s been all season?
Game of the Week
Memphis (8-4) at UCF (11-0)—UCF -7
For a longer preview of this game, check out the UCF-Memphis preview on the home page. For one team, it’s about keeping the streak alive. For the other, it’s about revenge. UCF is playing for a winning streak that many have opposed. Those outside of the AAC don’t appreciate what the Knights have done thus far, and they are looking to continue silencing the doubters. They’re also playing for one of their own. McKenzie Milton’s injury shook the entire program last week, but his teammates are looking to make a statement in his absence. Darriel Mack takes over one of the best offenses in the country, and there will be a lot of pressure on him to bring home a second consecutive conference title.
Memphis is simply looking to prove they can seal the deal against the best team in the conference. Mistakes have cost the Tigers dearly in the last two matchups, so limiting them will be key. Darrell Henderson could not be stopped in the first half of the game earlier this season against the Knights. If the passing game and defense can do their part, Memphis will avenge their loss and complete an improbably comeback.
