P6 Pick’em: AAC West Title Game

Houston and Memphis overshadow the War on I-4

Game of the Week

Houston (+7) at Memphis

Trash talk has already begun between these two rivals, adding to the intensity of this game. A trip to the AAC Championship Game is on the line, and the tides have turned in the last couple weeks. Memphis was a team struggling to regain its identity, and suddenly finds themselves as the favorite. Houston was the favorite and has tumbled down in the same time frame. Memphis wants another shot at UCF. Houston wants to get back to a game they haven’t participated in since the first ever AAC Championship in 2015.

Rest of the AAC

ECU (+19.5) at Cincinnati

How will the Bearcats respond to a tough loss? ECU isn’t a tough team to beat, but the Pirates appear poised for an upset. Cincinnati wants to stop any momentum ECU has heading into this game, and that will come in the form of punishing Holton Ahlers.

Joe S: Cincinnati 33 ECU 17

UCF (-14.5) at USF

This game has dwindled in excitement mostly because USF has tanked the last four games. Too bad there’s not a draft pick involved. It’s hard to see UCF’s winning streak end here, but rivalry games are weird.

Navy (+7) at Tulane

Doesn’t it seem like Tulane has been favored or an underdog by seven points a lot this year? The Green Wave are looking to stop the Zach Abey train, and that should allow them to gain bowl eligibility. A loss would put a sour end to a roller coaster season.

Joe S: Tulane 31 Navy 28

SMU (-2) at Tulsa

This line is interesting. SMU just looked terrible against Memphis, but they also have looked better than Tulsa has to this point. Tulsa also just lost to Navy, but we’ve been saying they are better than their record indicates. It feels like something weird is going to happen.

Michael: SMU 38 Tulsa 24

Joe B: SMU 41 Tulsa 38

Joe S: SMU 31 Tulsa 17

Eric: SMU 35 Tulsa 32

Temple (-29) at UConn

If you have Ryquell Armstead on your fantasy team, you’re loving this matchup. Heck, if you have any Owl player on offense, you’re feeling great. Temple essentially just has to limit David Pindell’s impact on defense, and Armstead and the offense should take care of the rest.
