Our top team in the rankings came close to being upset, but held on for dear life to remain at No. 1, where they have been since Week 3.
Here are the latest rankings after Week 7:

Biggest jump: Appalachian St. Mountaineers
Largest fall: Troy Trojans
Troy fell completely out of the rankings and garnered no votes after their loss to Liberty this weekend. San Diego State surprisingly fell from No. 3 to No. 6 despite picking up another.
The four teams from the American were featured in every voter’s poll. Cincinnati received no votes less than fifth, but the USF Bulls were all over the place. They were as high as No. 2 by one voter and as low as No. 10 by another. Houston also received a second-place vote, but most voted them No. 5 through No. 7.
The Utah State Aggies were the only other team to appear on every voter’s ballot, but with that said, surprisingly finished No. 8 in the poll.
Every Group of Five conference is represented in our poll after consecutive weeks in which at least one conference failed to make the rankings. North Texas and Buffalo came in at No. 9 and No. 10 respectively to represent Conference USA and the Mid-American Conference.
Army is up from two votes last week to eight, but still shy of our top 10 rankings.
