New Mexico State and Washington State Set to Play in 2019

Two of the oldest football programs in the NCAA are finally meeting up for the first time.

New Mexico State University announced on Tuesday the addition of Washington State to their 2019 football schedule. This will be the first-ever meeting between the two schools.

The game is scheduled to be played at Martin Stadium in Pullman, Washington on Saturday, August 31, 2019.

Despite both programs having over 123 years of football history under their belts, this will be the first time the Aggies and Cougars will meet on the field.

The news means that NMSU now has six games under contract for the 2019 season, with another two games tentatively scheduled. The Aggies now have eight games scheduled for the 2019 season and are four games away from completing that season’s schedule. New Mexico State still needs three games to fill out their 2018 football schedule as they transition from a member of the Sun Belt Conference to an Independent FBS program.
