FAU receiver Kalib Woods charged with battery, suspended indefinitely

They said the Kiffin era will come with wins and controversy. Well there’s certainly been controversies.

According to the Sun Sentinel Kalib Woods has been charged with two counts of felony battery and is currently under arrest.

According to the police report the arrest stems back to an incident that took place on January 13.

Woods has been suspended indefinitely by the team and a return is unknown. He has not been kicked out of school and is free to attend classes once released from bail.

Woods enters his senior season as the Owls most prolific receiver as he led the team with 68 catches for 934 yards and one touchdown last season.

He is the most reliable target by far and many figured his numbers were sure to improve with Lane Kiffin and Kendall Briles overseeing the offense.

Obviously, this isn’t a good look for Kalib Woods and the start of the Kiffin era in Boca Raton. Woods is the first Owl to have an off the field incident since Kiffin was named the head coach in December.
