The C-USA and Sun Belt brackets are down to four schools each, but only two each can advance to the elite 8. It’s coming down to the wire. Who will take home the crown? As always, that’s up to you!
The bracket, poll, and comparison are below once again. For C-USA we’ve got a pair of East vs West matchups with WKU taking on UTSA and Old Dominion taking on Southern Miss. For the Sun Belt, depending on how this round goes, there’s two separate rivalries that could meet in the next round as UL Lafayette takes on Appalachian State and ULM faces Georgia Southern.
WKU Hilltoppers vs UTSA Roadrunners
After a first round bye, the Hilltoppers took down Charlotte to advance to the sweet 16. Their red jerseys can be complemented with white or with black, capped off with their iconic chrome domes.
The Roadrunners have crushed each opponent thus far, posting a 60-26 victory over Rice and 68-25 over MTSU. Now they’ll face WKU. UTSA’s typical look is navy blue with orange trim, although that can be swapped if they so choose.
The Monarchs overcame UTEP after a first round bye to reach the sweet 16. They rock a simple but effective dark blue look.
The Golden Eagles have been consistent thus far, receiving exactly 52 votes in both narrow wins over Marshall and rival La Tech. And like Old Dominion, they are just as consistent with their uniforms. All black with yellow trim is their go-to.
UL Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns vs Appalachian State Mountaineers
After a first round bye, the Cajuns squeaked out a win over Idaho to reach the sweet 16. They usually keep it consistent with red and white, and their helmets can either read Ragin’ Cajuns or simply display a fleur de lis.
The Mountaineers likewise enjoyed a first round bye before decimating South Alabama. They tend to go all black, which can come with or without yellow trim.
UL Monroe Warhawks vs Georgia Southern Eagles
The Warhawks got past New Mexico State and Arkansas State to reach this stage. They don maroon and white when they take the field.
The Eagles defeated Texas State and Troy en-route to the sweet 16. They keep it simple with a dark blue and white look.
