We are down to 16 teams in our Uniform March Madness. Most of the matchups have been close, and we can expect more of the same as the field gets smaller. Today, we look at the AAC and FCS Regions, with the Sun Belt and Conference USA coming tomorrow. As always, you decide who advances to the next round: the Elite Eight!
The whole bracket can be seen below, and the poll is there as well. Tulane faces Memphis and Navy takes on East Carolina in the AAC. For the FCS, James Madison meets Cinderella in North Dakota and Jacksonville State will try to fend off South Dakota State.

#9 Tulane Green Wave vs #5 Memphis Tigers

Tulane
Coming in as the ninth seed, the Green Wave started off with a win over #8 SMU in the first round. Tulane fell behind in the second round against top seeded Temple, but a late comeback ended with a win over the Owls 102-96. The combination of green and baby blue continues to aid their run towards the next round, but they could be in trouble with their next foe.

Memphis
After dominating their first round matchup against #12 Connecticut, the Tigers had a little less cushion in the next round. #4 Tulsa provided some stiff competition, but Memphis managed to extend their lead for a 115-86 victory. Memphis goes with a good combination of simple and unique looks throughout each uniform and week to week. Their color combinations are easier on the eye than their opponent, but that doesn’t mean fans will automatically gravitate to them.
#2 Navy Midshipmen vs #11 East Carolina Pirates

Navy
After a first round bye, the Midshipmen dominated their matchup against #7 UCF 129-72. While Navy hasn’t changed a lot to their look, some simple changes have added a modern touch to their classic appearance. They don’t switch things up much, but Army-Navy always provides a surprise.

East Carolina
The Cinderella of the AAC, ECU upset #6 Houston in the first round. Round 2 figured to be a tougher matchup against #3 South Florida, but went on to stun the Bulls with a 135-66 win. The purple and gold combination has gotten them this far, but they go against a historically traditional look. ECU has surprised me by getting this far in stunning fashion, and the magic could continue into the Elite Eight as well.
#1 James Madison Dukes vs #12 North Dakota Fighting Hawks

James Madison
First round byes aren’t always a good thing, and that remains true even in uniform tournaments. The Dukes survived a scare against #8 Richmond, but held on to win 18-17. James Madison switched their uniforms up as much as anyone in college football, and their purple and gold color combos gave fans a different look.

North Dakota
Can they do it again? The Fighting Hawks blitzed #5 Sam Houston State in the first round, and followed that up with another stunner with a 20-15 win over Eastern Washington. Can this Cinderella run continue? North Dakota’s run remains in your hands.
#7 South Dakota State vs #6 Jacksonville State

South Dakota State
Two blowouts brought the Jackrabbits to the Sweet Sixteen, and another could be in store. A first round win over #10 Chattanooga was followed by another dominating performance against #2 Youngstown State. While their opponent doesn’t present much of an obstacle uniform-wise, the Jackrabbits need you to help them get to the Elite Eight.

Jacksonville State
The Gamecocks had the easiest path to the Sweet Sixteen in this tournament. After finishing #11 Wofford, they went on the beat a dynasty (well on the field dynasty) in #3 North Dakota State. While the Terriers and Bison don’t provide much eye candy, the Gamecocks will need some help against their first real test of the tournament.
