The Sun Belt finally (!) released the conference schedules for each team today at 11:00 a.m. ET and that should make Vandals fans excited about their last season in the FBS. You can see every #FunBelt team’s schedule here or here. So, without further ado, here’s how the schedule came out for the boys from Moscow:

Analysis
First off, I’ve just got to say how nicely this schedule turned out for the Vandals. It’s almost the exact opposite of last year’s schedule in terms of the home/away splits, except for the fact that the Vandals will be playing Coastal Carolina at home instead of Texas State. The Sun Belt didn’t give them an overly difficult schedule for their last year in the conference, but instead, gave them a very healthy slate of games that will almost surely be competitive.
The Vandals are fortunate in the fact that most of their winnable games will be at home (UL-Lafayette, UL-Monroe, and Coastal Carolina), while also getting some road games that I think they can come out of with a win (South Alabama, NMSU, and Georgia State).
Honestly, I think the Vandals can go 5-1 at home (with their only loss being to Appalachian State), and 3-3 in away games and finish up their last season in the FBS with another 8-4 record and a bowl invite. Barring any major injuries to any key players, I almost want to say I expect it, but I won’t say that. Because this is Idaho football we’re talking about here and it’s their last season in the FBS. Anything can happen. Expect a fun and crazy season Vandals fans. We’ll see you when spring football starts March 24th!
