Yesterday on National Signing Day Cordarrian Richardson made headlines as the four star Memphis, Tennessee, running back made a recruiting video that featured his “announcement” taking place in space signaling his pledge to Maryland.

But apparently Maryland never received his LOI yesterday. In surprise twist this morning, Scott Frost announced that Richardson was not a Terp but rather a Knight instead.

The late flip is a huge coup for Frost and the UCF football program. Richardson gives UCF the 54th best class nationally, surpassing Memphis and making UCF owners of the best 2017 recruiting class in the G5.
BOOM! One of the best running backs in the nation is #OTownBound17 ⚔️

Say hello to Cordarrian Richardson! https://t.co/ThbsKx6hz5 pic.twitter.com/XWa2euhTXX
In Frost’s first full season recruiting to UCF he has given the Knights their best recruiting class in school history.
Not only did UCF take the title of owning the best G5 class from Memphis but they also now own having the best prospect sign with a G5 team, which also previously belonged to Memphis. Richardson is ranked the 160th best player in the country.
Today was just another example of how crazy recruiting can be and how much of a player Scott Frost has made UCF on the recruiting trail in such a short amount of time.
