The American Athletic Conference recently released their selections for All-Conference awards. A great season has come to an end, and we at Underdog Dynasty decided to make our own selections for offense, defense and special teams.
Offense
The nice thing when we were putting together these teams was that we didn’t disagree with the AAC’s selections amongst these teams or with the awards. McKenzie Milton had an outstanding year and was more than deserving of Offensive Player of the Year. Close behind him was Riley Ferguson, who made the second team. UCF and Memphis dominated our selections on offense, which makes sense considering they were the two best teams in the conference and two best offenses in the country.

Defense
Another unanimous selection, Ed Oliver did phenomenal things this year. Constantly fending off chops blocks and breaking through double teams, the Houston sophomore was our Defensive Player of the Year. Oliver still has at least one more year of eligibility before he presumably goes pro, and another 1st team appearance should be expected.

Special Teams
The return games for UCF and Memphis were just as lethal as their offenses. Tony Pollard and Mike Hughes were the two best returners in the country, and both were thrilling to watch with the ball in their hands. Pollard was easily the best returner in all of college football, and we will be blessed to watch him again next year.
