• Josh Heupel had his first presser as UCF’s head coach yesterday and we learned a great deal about what UCF will be under his regime.
• UCF is going to pack the Peach Bowl. Trust.

• Poaching season isn’t always about recruits and coaches but Athletic Directors too, as Arkansas just hired Houston’s Hunter Yurachek.

Conference USA

• All-Conference Teams are out, and FAU leads the way.
• The All-Freshman Team is out too.
• Rice hired Stanford offensive coordinator Mike Bloomgren as their new head coach.
• Playing in the New Orleans Bowl is a win for North Texas players and the fan base.
• UNT students are voting to raise the athletic fee. Vote no, y’all.
• Still no decision on whether Legion Field will be renovated or not.

Sun Belt

• The Ragin’ Cajuns need a head coach so they might want to consider Matt Canada for the position.
• New Mexico State expects to see a good amount of their ticket allotment for the Arizona Bowl to be sold.
