On Tuesday, Arkansas released their 2017 Southeastern Conference football schedule including games against newest Sun Belt member Coastal Carolina and soon to be ex-member New Mexico State.

The Razorbacks will wait until September 30th to kickoff their 2017 Sun Belt slate as they welcome soon to be ex-conference member New Mexico State to Reynolds Razorback Stadium. This will be the fifth meeting between these two with Arkansas leading the series 5-0.

The Hogs will pause their Sun Belt schedule for five weeks before welcoming new Sun Belt member Coastal Carolina into Razorback Stadium. The two schools have never met and Arkansas is paying the Chanticleers $1.5 million to visit Fayetteville.

In a stunning development, the Hogs chose Florida A & M to open the season in the capital city of Little Rock at War Memorial Stadium. With more obvious Sun Belt teams located closer to Little Rock, it’s an interesting choice to fill that spot considering the lack of interest with recent low profile matchups in the heart of the state.

Arkansas is now 37-1 all time against its Sun Belt foes.
