Georgia State vs Air Force recap

Another week another loss for Georgia State

I am beginning to think my previous assessment of Georgia State’s defense was wrong. The Panthers fell to Air Force 48-14. Trent Miles’ squad allowed 464 yards on the ground. I didn’t think you could get much worse than 325 yards. The defense looked gassed again and they had their hands on their hips for most of the game.

The Panthers started the game great, they got on the board quick and had the momentum. Unfortunately our kickoff coverage gave the momentum right back to the Falcons.

The offensive line struggled to open up holes in the run game. Georgia State ran for a mere 27 yards. The story line for this game is similar to last week’s. The Panthers were unable to stop the run and unable to run the ball themselves. I am worried about the lack of physicality I am seeing from this tmean

One positive is the Panthers seemed to have found a starting quarterback. If it wasn’t for Conner Manning, I don’t know if our offense would have managed any points.

I hope that Trent Miles and his staff can light a fire under their players, otherwise we could be in for a long season.
