Another pass-catching Power Five transfer has landed in Jonesboro. Arkansas State Red Wolves fans were first alerted to the possibility of a big commit Tuesday evening courtesy of Defensive Line Coach Brian Early.

Wednesday evening, news broke that former Arkansas Razorbacks wide receiver Kendrick Edwards would be joining the Pack. At a solid 6'6", 205lbs, Edwards adds even more length to a WR group that is already among the tallest ever fielded in Jonesboro.

The talented player is not without some baggage. Edwards (who once made some news with his trash talk) and fellow WR JoJo Robinson were unceremoniously released by Bret Bielema during the first half of the 2015 season. Evidently, both players had permanently landed in Bielema's doghouse. The Hogs' loss is now the Red Wolves' gain.

Edwards averaged 17-yards per catch and hauled in one TD in limited action with the Razorbacks. 247Sports ranked Edwards a 3-star prospect who fielded offers from (among others) Rutgers, Miami, Florida State, and Sun Belt rival Appalachian St. Mountaineers before joining the Hogs in 2014.

Sadly, Edwards won't be eligible to join fellow WR transfers Cameron Echols-Luper and Kendall Sanders (and QB transfers Justice Hansen and Chad Voytik) until 2017. But that gives us plenty of time to review this compilation of Edwards' prep-school deeds.
