A one time Big 12 player, wide receiver Tyreek Hill used his time at West Alabama to become a part of the NFL fraternity.
Hill is a pure speed threat that will open the field for the Chiefs. He is a track guy that started his playing career with Oklahoma State before moving on to West Alabama. He does not project to play very much early in his career as a receiver with very little refinement to his game other than run and catch the long ball.
He could morph into a receiving target down the road like a Mark Mariani who started his career with Tennessee as a return man, but turned into a reliable receiver.
The West Alabama product could make his name on special team, especially in the return game. He has the type of blazing speed that could earn him a spot on the roster. He is a great late round pickup for a Chiefs team wanting a return man of the future.
Congratulations to Tyreek Hill and West Alabama for representing Division II in the NFL Draft.
