#TheReturn is nigh for the football Blazers as they have managed to snag a second SEC opponent for their future schedules in the Texas A&M Aggies.

The game is a one-off agreement, which will be played at Kyle Field in College Station, TX on Sept. 22nd, 2018. UAB head coach Bill Clark noted that this was a win-win for Blazers fans"Scheduling games our players and fans can look forward to is another important part of the big picture, and we are excited for the opportunity to play Texas A&M in one of the premier venues in college football."

The Aggies will be the second SEC opponent for the Blazers in as many seasons, with Florida in 2017 being the other school. The Aggies are coming off a chaotic year rife with controversy including promises made to recruited quarterbacks, both of who transferred. Texas A&M finished 8-5 (4-4 SEC) and played Louisville in the Music City Bowl, losing to the Cards by six points, 27-21.

UAB still has two non-conference games to fill out for their 2018 future schedules with a trip to Coastal Carolina already on the books.

Blazers' athletic director Mark Ingram remarked that UAB football is "on an impressive upward trajectory." The news about the 2018 addition comes on the heels of the approval of a $15 million project to build a new football facility from the Alabama Board of Trustees.
