The Sun Belt released the conference's 2016 football schedule, and as expected it contained three mid-week games to be aired on an ESPN station. As we revealed earlier this year, the Red Wolves continue to be the Sun Belt's biggest draw, which will probably help the flagging viewership of Georgia State and Troy.
Speaking of ESPN, the Sun Belt was pleased to announce that all Sun Belt games would receive some form of ESPN viewership this year, further cementing ESPN3 as the Unofficial Channel of the Sun Belt.
For the fourth consecutive season, all Sun Belt home games will be available on an @espn platform.#FunBelt pic.twitter.com/AgTu4W8NPJ

The Gut Reaction
Four out of the last five on the road is tough, but October's going to be an awful lot of fun.

Arkansas State and Idaho only teams with 3 straight road conference games. https://t.co/FVUMxbVajM

We got 2/3 tv games against crap teams. Guess ESPN is trying to prop up ratings for other teams since we carry that load too.

In case you’re wondering, no other team plays 3 back to back to back road conference games w/o a bye.

With three games on either @ESPNU or ESPN2, Arkansas State @RedWolvesFBall again leads the Sun Belt. Three others have two.

Also worth noting- #AState will only have one regular seven-day game week once Sun Belt play begins, & it's the last week of the season.

Amusing that the first Sun Belt game of the year is Idaho.
