It’s done. Lane Kiffin is coming to Boca Raton. After two weeks the coaching search is over as FAU has hired Kiffin to be their fifth head coach in school history.

This will be Kiffin’s third shot as a head coach in college football. His career as a head coach isn’t all that great as he’s gone 35-21 during his collegiate head coaching career at Tennessee and USC.
But for FAU the move was a no brainer. FAU’s profile had improved over night with Kiffin just interviewing for the job. With Butch Davis at FIU and Charlie Strong at USF the Owls needed to make a splash and Kiffin was the only name that was going to get it done.
The roster is loaded with talent and with Kiffin leading the way FAU will be in prime position to contend in Conference USA.
Kiffin replaces Charlie Partridge, who went 3-9 in each of his three seasons at FAU.
