Happy game day Underdogs! There are several great games on today, but if you’re looking to watch a complete blowout tune into the Appalachian State vs Idaho game.
App State has yet to lose a Sun Belt game this season and they are well on their way to being named the Sun Belt Conference champions. After the huge 24-0 win against the Rajun’ Cajuns last week the Taylor Lamb and Jalin Moore show will no doubt continue today. The Mountaineers went for a total of 372 yards against the Rajun’ Cajuns last week and I’m feeling crazy and saying they’ll go 375+ against Idaho. The defense is really where it’s at for this team. They are leading the league in scoring defense with the help of superstar linebackers like Eric Boggs.
This is not to say Idaho won’t put up a good fight. They are currently 4-3 coming off back-to-back wins. Quarterback Matt Linehan threw for an outstanding 476 yards and four touchdowns last week against New Mexico State. App State’s quarterback, Taylor Lamb hasn’t thrown anything close in seven games, maxing out at 280 yards against Akron at the beginning of the season. Is the App State offense a little weaker than Idaho’s? I’d say so considering they are ranked eighth in scoring, but they have very talented individual players.
App State has this game covered and will get the win at home improving their record to 5-2.
