The Wall of Troy stands tall; Beats Idaho

The Troy Trojans take the game away from the Idaho Vandals.

The Troy Trojans took down the Idaho Vandals 34-13 tonight in Moscow.

Troy moves to 4-1 and 2-0 in conference play, while their counterpart, Idaho, falls to 2-3 and 0-1 in conference play.

The Trojans forced two interceptions and got to the quarterback four times. The Trojans were able to control Idaho’s offense.

The Vandals had a total of 255 yards of offense. Idaho’s own, Linehan threw the ball for 164 yards going 19-34 with two touchdowns and two picks.

Troy’s defense has gone four straight games with multiple interceptions, the first time this has happened since 2005 according to Troy Football Twitter feed.

Troy quarterback Brandon Silvers passed the ball for 374 yards going 31-42 with three touchdowns and two turnovers. Jordan Chunn had a good game. Chunn ran the ball 22 times for 127 yards with one touchdown.

Troy lit up the stat sheet tonight with a total of 531 yards of offense. The passing attack was a big help for the Trojans in the victory with 374 yards. The ground attack was just as good with 154 yards.

The Vandals were bit by the big play bug and the Trojans made plays when it counted. Troy went 4-5 in the redzone. The Trojans couldn’t ask for better production than that.

The Trojans will be off this coming week and return to action on October 15 against the Georgia State Panthers.
