The Sun Belt released a list of "the opponents that teams will play during the upcoming 2016 football season" today. There aren't any fixed dates and times; just a list of opponents and whether or not they are played at home or away. As expected, Arkansas State has added Troy and Georgia Southern to the mix, the latter of which should finally give Red Wolves fans a measure of satisfaction.
Guessing there'll be some excitement the week of ASU-Georgia Southern. Probably a midweek ESPN game, 30th anniversary of the I-AA title game

Bounced from the schedule are (disappointingly) Appalachian State Mountaineers and (not so disappointingly) Idaho Vandals. Nobody is going to particularly miss taking that brutally long trip to Moscow to face the Vandals, but just when Mountaineers vs. Red Wolves was gaining steam as a conference rivalry, the Sun Belt shrugged and grunted, "Nah, we'll pass."
Georgia Southern will visit Jonesboro in 2016, and the Red Wolves will make a return to Troy after a two-year scheduling hiatus. Centennial Bank Stadium will also host the South Alabama Jaguars, the ULM Warhawks, and the New Mexico State Aggies.
