YOU'RE LOOKING LIVE at the first Underdog Dynasty game thread of 2015. We'll use the comment section below to discuss Sunbelt, CUSA, AAC, and independent games throughout this weekend. The action will start in an hour as UCF and FIU square off for regional bragging rights. You can read Chas Short's game preview here to head into the game prepared to talk smack. The rest of our game previews and recaps for the week will be channeled into this stream.
Here's a few games of note we'll have a close eye on this weekend:
Western Kentucky (-2.5) vs. Vanderbilt: Thursday, 7:00 pm CST
The 'Toppers have a terrific chance to earn a P5 win early in the season and launch Brandon Doughty's name into the Heisman hunt.
Duke (-7) vs. Tulane: Thursday, 8:30 pm CST
An under the radar pick but this game should be a dog fight. Tulane's new stadium has an awesome atmosphere. If you missed it last season you should check it out tonight.
Colorado (-7.5) vs. Hawaii: Thursday, 12:00 am CST
ALOHA MIDNIGHT FOOTBALL. If I need to explain to you why you should watch this game then log off.
Charlotte vs. Georgia State (-7.5): Friday, 2:30 pm CST
Sure it probably won't be the prettiest football you see this year but it gives you a great opportunity to fire up WatchESPN at work.
Washington vs. Boise State (-12): Friday, 9:15 pm CST
Boise's march to a playoff spot starts, and potentially ends, here.
Florida Atlantic vs. Tulsa (-7): Saturday, 2:30 pm CST
Here's a very evenly matched CUSA vs. AAC match up. FAU beat Tulsa 50-14 last year so Tulsa should be out for revenge.
ULL vs. Kentucky (-17): Saturday, 6 pm CST
Even if the Cajuns are unable to pull off the upset at least you'll get to admire Mark Hudspeth's pecs.
Mississippi State (-21) vs. Southern Mississippi: Saturday, 9 pm CST
USM is a big home underdog but M.M. Roberts Stadium will be rocking with USM's largest crowd in years.
Purdue vs. Marshall (-7.5): Sunday, 2 pm CST
Huge opportunity for the Herd to pick up a P5 win to start the season. Even better for us, it gives us Sunday college football.
