Why the Ragin' Cajuns New Athletic Center is the Best in the 'Belt

An inside look into ULL's new players facility, so fresh you can still smell the paint.

In the wee hours of the night (meaning, about 6pm CST), the net saw ULL head coach Mark Hudspeth post pictures of the new Ragin' Cajun facilities, as the students moved in just in time to prep for their Sept. 26th game against Akron. The facilities are pretty impressive all on their own, and certainly give the recently updated digs for their neighbors to the north, a run for their money.

Upscale, expansive facilities with a fleur-de-lis prominent on every surface, this is the crown jewel in the #FunBelt facilities. The backlit decor and the 13,000 square foot weight room are there to not just wow recruits, but the players themselves, as evidenced in some of the above move-in day photos.

Featuring a new players lounge, meeting rooms and a team theatre (that's how Hudspeth spells it), other teams in the conference will be playing catch-up for a few years to come.

With just a taste currently up online, it's a safe bet they'll be rolling out more features as they come back from their bye week for their second home game of the season against the Zips. Keep an eye out for more features, but what they have so far is currently viewable on FB, or by driving east on I-10 and hanging a left before you get to LSU. Do you even lift, breaux?
