The Arizona Cardinals are full of surprises today.
After trading up to get the 116th pick, the Cards selected a player that wasn't on many draft boards in Rodney Gunter from FCS program Delaware State.
Inside linebacker and cornerback were tabbed as some of the biggest needs remaining for Arizona, but it looks like this is very much a pick where the scouts tabbed "their guy" in order to build depth on the d-line.
Gunter will be a bit of an unknown prospect coming out of a MEAC school, but he's garnered a bit of hype lately as an athletic freak (who can dunk a basketball no less) and an underrated prospect. Here's one of his highlight videos:
