App State Is Finding Their Inner Chi Through Yoga


Since spring practice has ended, it's all about strength and conditioning for the App State football team. While one would think of gassers, lifting weights and screaming coaches, every Wednesday the Mountaineers calm everything down, block out the world and get their yoga on. In March, S&C coach "Iron" Mike Sirignano hired a yoga instructor for an hour-long session every Wednesday. Like all off-season workouts, the sessions are optional, but like all off-season workouts, not really.
