Massachusetts 24, Florida International 14: The Minutemen picked up their first win of the season by putting the ball in the air 42 times. Blake Frohnapfel completed 32 of those passes for 363 yards and three touchdowns. Two of his targets went over 100 yards in Tajae Sharpe (15 grabs, 159 yards, TD) and Marken Michel (7 catches, 113 yards, 2 TDs). Alex McGough threw for just 115 yards and the Golden Panther running game never got going either.
Marshall 27, Old Dominion 7: Ray Lawry got back on track for the Monarchs, rushing for 160 yards and a score on 29 carries. But it was not enough, as Marshall's Chase Litton rebounded from a subpar performance last week and completed 21-of-35 passes for 212 yards and two touchdowns. Full recap.
Western Kentucky 49, Rice 10: In a battle of division leaders in Conference USA, the Hilltoppers rolled into Houston and dismantled the Owls. Full recap.
Southern Mississippi 49, North Texas 14: The Golden Eagles led 35-0 after three quarters in a dominating performance. Nick Mullens threw four touchdowns and scored one on the ground as well, as his team racked up 573 yards of total offense.
