Army - This was easily the deepest team of all, and darn near every running back on the roster is capable of awesomeness. Honestly, look at this list!
1st place - Holt Zaneraitis, DL
2nd place - Edgar Poe, WR Their wide receiver just so happens to have the same name as a famous horror writer? Hardly a coincidence. Quoth the offense, "nevermore."
3rd place - Sage Baltrusaitis, OL
Honorable mention - Apparently the voters got such a serious case of the "aitis" that they couldn't find room for all of the syllables provided by Ammon Tuimaunei, T.J. Atimalala, or Lofi Tamasese. Nor was there a place to put Tyler L'Hommedieu or Eddy Ruzga.
Navy - Their roster wasn't nearly as deep as the Black Knights of the Hudson, but holy cow was there some strong talent, and they have the Dark Knight instead.
1st place - Adam West, C I DON'T CARE IF HE DOESN'T START. THE MIDDIES HAVE BATMAN. GAME OVER, TROPHY GOES HERE.
2nd place - Blaze Ryder, C This is only made more amazing by the fact that his brother Wave, who played rover, graduated last year.
3rd place - A.K. Akpunku, LB And we get to round things out with a Midshipman whose name is a weapon.
Honestly, I have been very impressed with the talent on both of these squads. I did not initially expect the service academies to far outpace their competition, but I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Again, leave your comments for your top three votes, and we'll reveal the overall All-Name Team at lunch time tomorrow.
