Western Kentucky's prolific senior quarterback and 2014 Conference USA Most Valuable Player Brandon Doughty, who leads the nation in passing this season, was just granted another season by the NCAA. In 2011 and 2012, Doughty suffered a number of injuries that created a major setback in a complete return to the field.
There's a lot of things I have to work on and improve on. There are still goals out there we want to achieve as a team.
Brandon Doughty, on being granted another season
The Hilltoppers, who have just beaten previously-unbeaten Marshall and accepted an invitation to a bowl game in the Bahamas, must be ecstatic for the chance to build on what has been a remarkable year for Doughty and first-year head coach Jeff Brohm.
Brandon Doughty's Season by the Numbers
- 67.5 completion percentage
- 4,344 passing yards
- 44 passing touchdowns
- 22 redzone passing touchdowns (only 1 interception)
After all, who wouldn't want this guy on their team for another year?!
